Our professional nursing staff is at the centre of our personalised patient care. The majority of our employees in our clinical centre are professional nurses. Because of the constant contact with the patients our nurses, both female and male, plus nursing auxiliaries have a big responsibility in the different wards in our hospital.

By creating a personalised atmosphere they provide an important contribution for the well-being of our patients. At the same time they are responsible for the proper implementation of doctor`s orders and caring measures. Their work is based on the caring standards of the hospital. These standards combine the latest findings of nursing science with the knowledge of the caregivers. To meet the requirements of our own high quality standards they are constantly reviewed and updated. The personality of the patient is always a top priority. .

The nursing staff includes activities such as health education, consultation and preparing the transition of the patient for out-patient and/or home care.

The training and qualification of nurses has a long tradition in our hospital. There has been a steady development in this area over the last 100 years. In 2004 a new nursing care law was introduced and since that time parts of the training and the job descriptions have changed. This law demonstrates the challenging requirements for the profession of nursing.

The nursing service in our clinical centre includes

• state qualified nurses / occupational health nurses
• state qualified children`s nurses
•  healthcare with a special training in the field of operating room service, anesthesia, intensive-care medicine, functional diagnostics, oncology and supervising student nurses
• nursing auxiliaries
• trainees in healthcare, trainee nursing auxiliaries, trainee children`s nurses

Furthermore the nursing service includes:

• the physiotherapy
• the staff of sterilisation
• office workers
