The department of internal medicine has altogether 133 hospital beds on 4 floors.
Our professional team for internal medicine treats chronic and acute diseases.
Our primary areas are cardiology and gastroenterology including gastric oncology.

For our patients we provide sanitary rooms with TV. There are single, double and three bed rooms.
Our functional-diagnostic department is under the guidance of our head physician.

We have the modern diagnostic and technical equipment needed to provide our professional staff with the tools for a personalized necessary treatment for each and every patient. These procedures include : pneumology, endoscopy, angiology and cardiology. Thanks to the cooperation with other hospitals in Saxony almost every symptom can be diagnosed and treated at a high scientific level. Our team consists of doctors, physical therapists, dietitians, nurses and employees of the social service. The care for our patients not only includes the medical treatment but also the counselling of the patient and his relatives in every other aspect concerning the symptoms. The counselling often concerns necessary after-care of the patient. From the arrival at the emergency room until the discharge from our hospital we guarantee a treatment by experienced doctors and specialists of internal medicine.

By regular medical rounds of our doctors and the head physician in combination with a rotation system for our young assistant doctors within our department we guarantee a high level of medical training and specialization.
